Our Team

Downers Grove CPR specializes in CPR, First Aid, and AED training/management.  We train over 2,500 people a year including healthcare professionals, new parents, childcare staff, babysitters and even offer corporate CPR/AED program management.  It’s a simple fact that having trained personnel with functional CPR/AED education can saves lives. Downers Grove CPR will streamline this process for you through proper training and program implementation. With hands-on training, we assure you or your company have a full understanding and proper skills to perform CPR and use an AED to help safe a life. Courses are offered on and off-site. In addition to courses, we also provide the option to purchase AED’s for your workplace. We guide you through the installation of your new AED and assure your staff is trained on the specific model you have purchased.

As the founder of Downers Grove CPR Ltd., my mission is to empower individuals with essential skills for effective responses in emergency situations. Starting my career as a firefighter/paramedic in 1999 at York Center Fire Protection Dist., I later transitioned to a full-time role with The Village of Glenview in 2001. During my tenure in Glenview, I significantly expanded my expertise in EMS by actively contributing to the advancement of paramedic education, training new medics, assuming the role of a CPR Instructor, and serving as a Training Site Coordinator. This multifaceted experience reinforced my conviction that a solid foundation in the fundamentals of EMS is paramount, as advanced medicine holds no advantage without it.

I firmly believe that disseminating knowledge about CPR and First Aid to the public can save more lives. Recognizing the profound impact of proper care on patient outcomes, I was compelled to share this valuable information with the broader community. In 2014, I established Downers Grove CPR Ltd. with the explicit goal of empowering communities. Our growth has been purposeful, consistently prioritizing the maintenance of high-quality training. Since retiring from the Glenview Fire Department in 2023, my exclusive focus is on empowering and educating my students.
