Instructor Training Session For Heart Saver Cpr/Aed Course

American Heart Association Heartsaver Classes can be taken as First Aid, CPR/AED or a combination of First Aid CPR/AED training. Adults, children, and infants are all included during the instruction of this class.

Who should take heartsaver cpr course?

This class is designed for individuals who need to learn CPR for either personal fulfillment or for work purposes in industries NOT involved with medicine/healthcare. If you are doing this for any kind of work or school requirement, it is best to ask your employer or school which class they required.

This class is perfect for the lay person, the fitness instructor, the educator, or the childcare professional. This class is also appropriate for parents or couples ready to adopt, expectant parents, or anyone else who does not work in any kind of medical/healthcare industry. E-card issued same day

Please note: If you work in any kind of healthcare or medical field, or are a student of, or plan to be, this is most likely NOT the appropriate class for you. What does this course cover?

Aha - Heartsaver Cpr / Aed Training

Heartsaver CPR / AED Objectives: 

  • CPR for the Adult, Child, and Infant 

  • Choking for the Adult, Child, and Infant 

  • Use of the Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) 

First-Aid Add-on:

Heartsaver First aid basics including: 

  • duties, roles, and responsibilities of first aid rescuers

  • scene safety

  • phoning for help

  • finding the problem (and more)

Medical emergencies including:

  • assembling and using an inhaler

  • choking in an adult, child, and infant

  • diabetes and low blood sugar

  • stroke (and more)


Injury emergencies including:

  • actions for external bleeding

  • amputation

  • broken bones and sprains

  • burns (and more)


Environmental emergencies including:

  • actions for bites and stings

  • temperature-related and poison emergencies


Heartsaver First Aid CPR/AED Includes:

  • all of the CPR/AED and First Aid Objectives

Heartsaver CPR/AED Blended E-Learning Option:

Heartsaver CPR/AED Blended e-Learning uses a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities to teach students Heartsaver CPR/AED knowledge and skills.

After completing the online portion, students attend a structured Heartsaver CPR/AED Blended e-Learning Skills which is a hands-on session with an AHA Instructor.
